It's very similar but not quite the same (I have both). The CPC has double latches (4 in total) and is actually slightly deeper than the Maplin one so the props are protected a little more when the Phantom is in there.
To be honest, given a choice of the two - I would say the cheaper CPC is actually better quality as well as being fractionally larger!
lol damnit... The Maplin one is pretty tight to the prop nuts.... good in some ways so stuff doesn't crash around. Bad if anyone put something heavy on it!

Don't suppose you know the product number of your Maplin case. I've just ordered the £49 version (need to be sure) as CPC cancelled my order.
It turns out they have no stock left, and Customer Services informed me it would be at least 2 months before any more will be in

Aluminum case Large protective Flight Case for the DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter 600 x 375 x 250mm - has a specifically designed foam insert to store the Phantom 3 Quadcopter and all relevant gear
or Plastic WATERPROOF CASE 24" - UNBRANDED - Water Resistant Case with Foam | CPC UK
I see that a few have had either so would be great to get some feedback.
One key thing is I would like to transport with props on.......
