Broken Camera Vision2

My question is can i run the vision 2 without the original camera or will the system fail to start. I was thinking of attaching the GoPro Silver if my current camera ever fails due to the cost of replacement but no point if the camera needs to be attached and working for the phantom to function ???

It's a totally different forum but all the info you need is there I searched for many hours to find this info and it works a treat ...I suggest you join that forum also ...after all we are all pilots together are we not
