I got up for work at 5am and put my blanket over where my dji p3 remote was sitting but when I got back I stepped directly on the aerial (the thing thats sticks out of the rc, dont know if im caling the right thing) and it snapped off is there a fix to this?!

You can fix it easy enough but you'll have to take apart the remote. The remote antenna is not offered as a spare part through DJI. You'll have to find someone who is selling one, or you can mount an aftermarket one with some minor modifications. The stock antenna is integrated so you'll need to completely remove it and attach an rp-sma cable. Since you are going to open the remote you might want to consider one of the antenna mods; the Alfa panels work quite well and are inexpensive (everything you need costs about $35 U.S.)

thanks for that only just gotten into the tech kind of things and am still learning! any chance youd be able to send me the link to these parts?

Thanks

I'm not really sure what you're asking. If you want to keep everything stock then find someone here with an original antenna for sale. Use the video as a guide to see how to detach/attach the correct cable. If using an aftermarket antenna to replace the stock omni antenna you would need (1) one 8 Inch U.FL to RP-SMA Female Pigtail along with an antenna of your choosing (or Alfa APA-M25, which is directional, not OMNI). To take full advantage of the Alfa mod follow the instructions in the video.

Yes you will greatly increase range, possibly measured in miles (in areas free from interference). At the very least signal strength is increased at short to moderate ranges. It's fairly similar to the Argtek mod, only much cheaper. There are several threads here on this. Search for Alfa mod.
