Hi,
do you know may I bring a drone to Chile without local licence? If so, do I need any papers?

Thanks!

I don't know the laws in Chile, but you may run into some problems carrying your LiPo batteries on the plane. Even with DJI 'smart batteries' LiPo's are still considered a huge fire hazard and air carriers will make you bring them in your carry on bags. If they're checked, they'll be confiscated. I hear some airlines don't even let them on-board. The rules are very uneven right now so check with your carrier.

Probably a little late for an in tile answer here but in case other members need: You won't need a license if your drone weights less than 750 g+ (Mavic Pro 1 for e.g.) & you do not fly within an urban area (Chilean laws define this as any place where people live or work from). There is also a cool map made by app.airmap.io available which can help you. For national parks & Easter Islands, you will need an authorisation no matter what. I've just completed a full research in case interested - hope this helps!
