Boating Fail

Was out in a local habour yesterday and captured a bit of a boating fail.

My first try at posting a video.

The sandbar was likely much clearer from the air than sea level. He should have stayed tight to the green buoy on the left.

Considering he hit the beach, I would think that the dry land directly in front of him would have been easily visible, even from water level. As a long time boater, this wasn't a channel marker issue/misunderstanding, this was either inattention or an intentional beaching (although I can't imagine why). Nicely done video, though. At least YOU were paying attention!
