Bluetooth barometric sensor for ipad

Has anyone tried Bad Elf Bluetooth GPS receiver with barometric sensor?I am using iPad 4 and Autopilot app.Warning always comes up about using iPad Air 2/iPhone 6 because they have built in barometric sensor.
