I like the look of that red EHang copter. I also liked the Hubsan X4 Pro and I think Hobbico has the ORA which may be a rebadged X4 Pro. Also looking forward to seeing more of the new Walkera Voyager 3 even though it looks like the Inspire One. Yuneec look to be a player as well!

So glad to not be at CES for a change.

I hear you.... I did two days, intended on staying for three.... couldn't hack it, was on overload, went camping at Valley of Fire instead!

The Hobbico Ora is indeed a rebadged Hubsan X4 H109S Pro... Apparently the Hubsan badged quad won't be available for U.S. sale, just the Ora. The Voyager 3 looks a lot like the Inspire 1, but there are many differences. The prop booms are fixed on the Walkera. The landing skids retract and the camera drops during flight. And... I love the look of the Yuneec. I just wish there was more info available on it...

The world needs better photography platforms and so far the Inspire camera isn't a big enough step up from the Phantom for stills. It's good to see some new arrivals getting in on the act.

The Yuneec Q500 looks interesting and there's mention of an improved camera coming later for it. http://www.yuneec.com/products/AerialUAV/q500-typhoon

The MaxAero X-star http://www.maxaero.com/cycms/Xstar/572.jhtml is very Phantom-like and might be a good quad but this one is the machine that I'm most interested in. http://www.maxaero.com/cycms/Venture/598.jhtml
Very few details so far but it might be a competitor for the Inspire. They show a camera that was obviously inspired by the P2V+ but it has a wider FOV and I can't find any details to have any idea how good it is.

WHOA! That's the first I've seen of the Venture... Very interesting...

The Venture II is a big mystery. Google finds nothing about it except that it was on show at CES.
The company's website has no details beyond that first page which outlines the features and shows that interesting camera.
Stay tuned. The coming months could be bringing some interesting machines.

Meta 4: Interesting info.... it would be nice if they added retracts on it...

I heard back from Maxaero - The quads they had at CES are not production models.
Sounds like the Venture and the 4K camera MIGHT be ready in Q2 this year.
