Hi all!
I just wanted to warn everyone about djiphantomsingapore
I have paid $1300 for a phantom vision 2 +
An extra battery and a travel case!
The guy is called Alex and has stopped answering my emails and messages!
He promised shipment that has never arrived.
The website looks authentic but I now have serious doubts!
I am in the process of contacting singapore authorities
Stupidly I paid by international transfer!
Has anyone else heard of a problem with them?
I can find nothing online saying there have been problems before?

I am curious as to why people order Phantoms from out of the country when all of this stuff can be had in the Usa. Not sure where you are at. I see so many posts like this where people order from outside the USA, have poor communication with the seller, or it is shipped way past promised delivery time.. Then come on here and cry about their problem. Plenty of good dealers in this country.

Example....one of my first quads was a V262 Cyclone with brushed motors with a short life. I have 2 of them and decided to order some extra motors. I had mine in 5 days while another guy on a forum was doing the same. He ordered from China to save a few bucks. Six weeks later...still no motors. Not sure if he ever got them and if he did and had a defective product, can you imagine the nightmare of getting it corrected? I don't order from China. If I can't get it in my country, I don't need it. Suggestion....buy from a reputable dealer in your country and someone that you can actually talk to. People in America need to work and when you bypass them to save a few bucks, I don't feel sorry. Most of this stuff probably comes from out of the country to begin with but our American workers need a piece of the pie. I ordered my Phantom from B&H ....had it in less than a week at a good price. Part of the package was a free charger amd 4 AA Batteries for the transmitter. My charger was defective...called them...they replaced it within the week and I didn't even have to send the bad one back.

Yep - the wire transfer is normally a scam unfortunately. I run into a lot of issues with people trying to pull that when you try to purchase stuff on craigslist. Even when you are selling stuff - they come up with an "escrow" scam where you wire a portion of the money for something YOU ARE SELLING as "good faith"

The problem with wire transfers is the ownership of bank accounts can be easily hidden... I fear this is a scam Pisses me off to see good people taken for their money :twisted:

Well that's kind of a really misinformed thing to say. I'll bet my left nut there's far less crime per capita there than in the US. Has nothing to do with the country, he just picked a bad dealer.

I think you misunderstood his comment. Doesn't really have anything to do with the actual country he was buying from our lack of integrity. Just why would you go out of the country and pay top price using funds that you might not have any recourse when you can get one semi locally.

There is risk with shipping, customs and funds when dealing with out of country purchases.
