Bestem quick release prop guard bolts

I have been lurking around for a few weeks sense I have purchased a 3 standard. First love my phantom 3 and lots of good info here. I ordered some bestem quick release prop guards that came with two length of screws, 10mm for the 3 and 12 mm for the phantom 2. When I took out the oem bolts one of them looked to be over tightened and took out a few threads with it. I want to use the 12 mm bolts for some extra grip but am concerned about them interfering with the motors. My question is, I put a set in and manually spun the motor with nothing seeming to hit anything it shouldn't. Am I safe ?

Don't. You will destroy your motors.
