I bought a Fatshark V2 FPV system with goggles but found that I really need a video monitor to mount on Rx. I would like to be able to use the goggles and monitor at the same time. Does anyone know if there is one that is the "standard" monitor to get? Something that is close to plug and play would be best. It seems a built in Rx would be best but is that the best option? Thanks for any help on this as it looks real easy for a noob to buy the wrong items. I will be mountig it on a Futaba 8j radio.

Your goggles have a video out cable. Just buy a TX LCD Monitor and a Mount for hang on TX

Also, you can buy a cheap LCD Monitor as these:

If you want, also can buy an additional RX so no ned to connect goggles with LCD Monitor.
That could be a DiversityUNO or DiversityDUO Rx. Just 1 VTX an on the ground 2 or more RX !

Wouldn't those blue screen when the transmission gets snowy? I think that's the reason for the blue screen issue, right?

I use FeelWorld model and no blue screen when loose signal. Only when powered up first time.

So is there a plug and play solution that most are happy with or does one need to just start buying stuff to see what works?

Just kind of bumping this up. I have been using goggles but found it too hard to switch during takeoff and landing. Is there anything awesome out there that has it's own power and antenna or at least can plug into the fatshark goggles? Is it possible to plug an iPad into the fatshark?

I also have an extra laptop I could take into the field if there are simple adapters for that.

readymaderc.com and getfpv.com are just two of many sites that have FPV packages that include everything you need, including battery, connectors, monitor, etc.
