Best free editing software

Photos and video. I would like a free trial then if I like it maybe $1-$100. For a windows 7. I don't use anything now. Sharpen/tweak images and video. Something easy but also in depth if I want to expand my editing.

MS Paint rocks! And there is MS Video too! You cant expect anything free and easy to be worth anything beyond that.. FREE

I use Apple iMovie for now as my computer can't support video editing.
It's not free but it costs about 5 bucks in the App Store I think.

I edit my clips on my iPhone 6 plus. This is one of my works using iMovie...
