been out of the loop for a while..need some help..

my controller's in a bind..trying to figure out if there is some type of fix for this..cant quite explain this issue so i will just show this picture. any cure for this?

Why not put thin flat washers on both sides and be done with it?

What ever you do decide to do, do not allow the threaded part to turn while tightening things up. Doing so may cause the wire to wind up as you are turning the center section and possibly break somewhere with in the wire.
