Battery mod anyone?

Just stumbled on this site and I'm wondering if anyone on this forum as done this? Of course I'd love to have extra flight time but doing the mod would obviously void my warranty which scares me to death.

I made a ton of mod's to my P2 to get extra range and flight time, now that I have a bird with all the range and decent battery power I will not be doing all those mod's. As others have said, weight and balance issues, 505 of the battery power you're adding is used to lift the extra weight, not to mention overworking the motors. Cool idea but not for me.

You can buy the stuff to do it yourself for 50$. Those brackets are 6$ on eBay and pick your battery of choice. If you can solder it's easy. I ordered 5 sets of brackets doing this to mine and some friends birds
