So has anyone who has sent a bird back for repair had their batteries just sat idle for like 4 -6 weeks waiting for the birds return?

Only having a single charger that i was requested to send back with the P3 i have no way of charging or cycling the batteries, is 4-6 weeks without usage going to damage the batteries, or is that to short a period?

i apologise in advance if this has been asked already which it probably has but i could not find a thread regarding it.

The batteries will automatically start to release their charge after how ever many days you set in the app (10 is the default). This will bring the batteries down to a safe level to be stored for an extended period of time, so your batteries should be fine when you get your Phantom back.

Like mentioned above the smart technology will automatically discharge them. They also sell devices on fleabay that are basically a halogen bulb and a connector. It powers the bulb thereby discharging it.
