coincidentally after my phantom had gps issues, my neighbor started having issues after a moderate crash into a pole. the gps doesn't looked cracked, but it is scraped up.I have no idea why it would have those little scrapes and I don't know if that affects anything. Does the GPS module look normal to you? should it be working correctly?

Look at those scratches with a magnifying glass to see they aren't hair line cracks as those ceramic antennas have double back tape under them. If they are just scratches re-install it and do an advanced IMU calibration on a level surface and see if that takes care of the problem. You might also do the IMU cal on yours as well. Some times it can take a minute or two to get 6 or more satellites for takeoff.
