Are the p3p and p3a transmitters identical?

Was wondering if the p3p and p3a txs are identical, and if so could I upgrade either firmware on either tx just fine, or are there differences?

Also, I've noticed the p3p/p3a chargers are slightly different... But other than power output I'm assuming they're identical.

They are the same TX for both p3a and p3p...

The chargers are identical -- other than the power. You can use them interchangeably.
