Are passenger drones likely to take off?,,,oh yes I would love one

not so sure if big car companies are already planning,,I sure BMW made one aswell
 
It actually makes more sense for automated drone"taxis" than car taxi`s, auto routes Pre-planned in, less likely to have SMIDSY moments.
 
Also with Uber, there are some that try and cancel the trip once they are in the car, free trip,
imagine that in a drone, if they hit cancel it just opens up the floor, that will stop people trying to get a free ride lol.

*I am joking and do not wish for drones to kill people . . . .
 
I just realize this but doesn't it consume more power that cars? And also some problems with take-off and landings.
Bus stops exists, so flying taxi stops arent hard to figure, roof tops maybe ?
 
In fact, our current passenger aircraft are system-controlled, so if it is needed, the current technology can be completely created. But air control is unlikely to allow privately owned aircraft to fly casually.
 
I remember seeing somewhere that Dubai is investing in drone taxis. They have tested a German drone taxi called Volocopter.
