Are P3 and I1 cameras really the same?

I've read on this forum that the P3 and I1 cameras are the same. They have different gimbals, but they have the same sensor, lens, and features, right?

I was in a DJI authorized dealer store today and the guys there said the I1 camera is better. When I asked in what way, they said the quality of the image, which isn't a technical or objective comment. Nevertheless, anyone here want to comment on the video quality of the P3 vs. the I1?

They are identical. The Inspire is rumored to have a new camera coming out for it. Larger sensor. Real imaging company behind it.
