Are 3rd party apps worth the cost?

I've heard some exciting things about apps like Litchi and Autopilot. I was surprised to see that Litchi costs $19.99, and that Autopilot costs even more!($29.99)

My question is: Are the functions these apps bring to the table game-changing, or can I do most of it within the DJI Go app?

Absolutely worth it as far as Litchi is concerned for the following reasons:
1) Waypoint missions
2) FPV goggle mode
3) NFZ
4) Litchi Magic Leash
I have no experience with autopilot, is that an IOS app?

Yes, and I've heard some pretty cool things about it, like programming missions on your computer to sync with the app, just not sure I wanna drop $30 on it. I would be okay with getting one or the other, but certainly not both.
