I'm from over the pond.
I happen to be visiting NY 15th-23rd October.
I just learned about the Mavic and it is just right for me.
The P3A is already on ebay, before the price plummets and ideally i wanna pick up the mavic in NY whilst i'm there
a) its cheaper
b) it'll give me a chance to play with it on holiday (i'm going upstate)
i'm reluctant to preorder if for delivery, as what will happen is that it will arrive after I have boarded a plane home.
What I need is a NY shop to pick one up in, preferably with the option to put a deposit down to reserve one when it comes in.
Anyone recommend a store that might give me this personal service?

Thanks for that, they dont seem to have an expected instore date.
Anyone ever ordered direct from DJI in US? Just wondered if they are generally one of the first to get them out?
I have some visitors coming over a couple of weeks later so its not a disaster if it doesnt arrive whilst im there now, but it would be nice.
Where would be the safest bet for the earliest mail order delivery do you think? DJI direct? or somewhere else? Amazon is already saying end of October

the online dji store will give you the best handling times right now amazon pre-ordered a set amount prior to launch and they already sold those, dji is still in their 1st batch :
