What is the best position to orient the stock antenna in? What works best for you?

It's a pirates life for me

Most agree that they are a cheap alternative to increase your range without modification to your RC. If you are interested, Tom's Tech Time on Youtube provides a template and tutorial for you to make your own but they are generally pretty cheap to buy and have the correct arc.

I have no personal experience using them yet but have some ordered from Amazon.

I have heard good things about the wind surfers if you are not wanting to mess with modifying the rc. I went with the dbs antenna from maxxuav.com. I don't fly that far most of the time but it's a good feeling always having a strong reliable signal behind obstacles. I'm very happy with it.

I've been looking at one of these.. How difficult did you find the installation? Do you notice a significant increase in range and signal stability? Due to living in Australia it would cost me A LOT to ship one of these out here, really want to know if its worth it.. Thanks :)
