Its a bit more simple and a lot cheaper! I have some doubts on the travel range though; it's not high enough to travel passed the protruding battery compartment. That will prevent you from breaking the + profile that goes in the pot meter, but I'm afraid some travel range is lost.

[edit: ordered it, will share the experience once it arrives :)]

Ordered one, too. It should be here today.

THe X1 Pot travel is roughly 200 degrees. I believe the shapeways lever will cover this distance without interference. Of course it depends on its construction - placement of lever in refernece to the cross which contacts the pot. We will see! $7 is better than $25 if it works.

Thats good!
Eventually I'll try to put some DIY thing like this together; looks like it will last :)

In plan to glue something as the stoppers so that the lever can't be turned too much because a member broke the tip that got stuck in the pot!

How is that lever holding up? Anybody used it for some time now (more than a week)?

I am the one that have designed the "expensive" lever kit that have been available for while now, not the cheap one that is mentioned here. I am not out to bash on that design, and I just am interested in knowing how it holds up.

The pot that the lever goes into is made of really soft plastic, and it will strip easily if the tip is not secured properly.
Since it is held down by DS tape, I would pay close attention to the tape not moving/loosening. The chance for the pot to be stripped out and rendered useless, os very much precent if that happens...

Full range of the pot is closer to 270 degrees, so if you want full range of the tilt/pitch, you need a lever that can move the full range...
