I have been flying a P2 for about 3 years now and never seen what happened on my new P3 today.
I way pretty far away at about 150 feet high. I had lost site of the P3 so I switched it to F-mode (IOC) and selected Home Lock. Then I pulled the stick back all the was so it would come to me. I watched the distance on the screen and it was heading my way. I also noticed it was low on battery. About the time it was close to me and over the lake in front of me it started to land because of low battery. For some reason I had no control and was about to do my first water landing! When I was about 10 feet from the water I remembered I was in IOC mode so I flipped the switch Bach to P-Mode and luckily the control returned and I was able to take it up and bring it over land. That was close.
I really don't understand not why it did this. Is there a bug when in IOC mode and the battery low? Maybe this is normal when doing an auto landing in IOC mode.
Anybody lose seen this?
