Looks like companies are coming up with aftermarket batteries for the ph2. Not cheap enough for me to try it, but hopefully someone will soon and report the results. Higher capacity too!

Not a chance... After spending 2K+ on my quadcopter I'm not going to risk losing it to save a measly $22. Can't wait to see the Youtube videos of Phantom 2's plummeting to the ground in a ball of fire.
