Advice on which monitor

I'm getting a P3P and would like advice on which device I should buy for my FPVing. I currently have an older iPad 2 and a Samsung Galaxy phone. I don't mind spending a bit if there is a better device I could use.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Nothing is perfect in bright sun shine but yes these are the better choices.

Other choice could be to buy a 1000 cd/m2 field monitor of 5 or 7" and hook it up on HDMI port.

Thanks. Looks like my phone will work, but not the iPad 2 or my iPad mini. I was hoping they would since the screens are bigger. Maybe time for something new. I'll check out the recommendations. Thank you.
