UPDATE:

2.1.3 out to fix the 20% hang

http://www.taig.com/en/

Everyone who wants screen recording and other unallowed crapple features might want to jailbreak their device while the window is open.

http://taig.com/en/update_log.html

Get iOS 8.3 for your device if not already installed https://ipsw.me/

How to untether jailbreak iOS 8.1.3-iOS 8.3 on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with TaiG v2.1.2

Step-1: Download TaiG untethered jailbreak tool on your PC

Step-2: Connect your iOS device to the PC using USB cable

Step-3: Go to Settings>> Passcode>> enter your Passcode>> Turn Passcode off>> enterPasscode

Step-4: Turn off Find My iPhone from Settings>> iCloud>> Find My iPhone

Step-5: Launch TaiG jailbreak application as an Administrator while your iOS device is connected to the PC. Right-click on the TaiG exe and select Run as Administrator from the drop-down menu

Step-6: Wait until TaiG detects your iOS device. When it shows your device with the correct firmware version, uncheck 3K Assistant, which is just below Cydia 1.1.16

Step-7: Click Start button to jailbreak. You should see a circular progress bar. Wait patiently for the process to complete

Step-8: When the jailbreak is completed, your device will reboot automatically. A message will appear saying 'Jailbreak succeeded'. You should see the Cydia icon on your device's home screen

After the jailbreak is completed, do not forget to re-enable the Passcode and Find My iPhone features.

Troubleshooting Apple Drivers: Translated from Chinese @ http://www.3kzhushou.com/edu/792.html

If you need to connect your phone and computer, you need to install the Apple drivers. Under normal circumstances, when the iPhone connected to the computer, the system will automatically install the driver. Of course, some systems if there is a problem, then the future may not be connected to display iPhone content. If this happens, then you need to manually install Apple computer drives. If you get the computer prompts "drive not detected apple", then there may be two reasons as follows ......

Case 1: No installed iTunes , download and install.

32 -bit computer, click http://pan.baidu.com/s/1gdzmqIJ download Apple drive

64 -bit computer, click h ttp: //pan.baidu.com/s/1pJ3FGq3 download Apple drive

Scenario 2: If you have installed 12.1 version of iTunes , but suggested no apples drive

Click here to download the driver package (click to download), you can solve this problem after installed.

8.4 is on the way and they are thinking this JB will keep working, but to be safe you need to get on 8.3 ASAP before Apple closes the signing window.

That won't happen till 8.4 is released they say the 30th that's should have a day or 2 before they stop signing 8.3

Iphone 6 or 6+??

Mine did too I read up on it, you need to downgrade iTunes first, so remove the old one in the order Apple recommends

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204275

12.0.1 is the version I used if I remember correctly (Google :) )

Also, you need to slide the slider when it keeps rebooting to show the icons screen, and also disable any antivirus and also after every reboot of the device, close iTunes when it loads, and also windows explorer if your on a PC

Hopefully that helps :)

iTunes version was the problem.. Thanks

That didnt fix the 20% hang. The issue is that it has to be JB from an older version of iTunes. Like... 5 versions back. Once you downgrade iTunes it works flawlessly.

...I hear people talking about that but I'm on the latest version of iTunes and I didn't have a problem
