I've used The Photographer's Ephemeris for still photography since soon after it was introduced.
It's a great tool to see where the sun or moon will be on a given date and time. It comes in very handy when planning photo/video shoots.
There's nothing worse than spending hours getting to a location only to find that your objective is in shadow for the rest of the day.
