Hi just ordered the new 6000 mAH battery to try out. Does anyone one have any of these yet?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121493683598?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

I know there was some problems with the 5400 mAH when they first came out.

They are claiming 33 minutes flight time. Sure that is without a camera attached.

Curious to what others think. And extra 5-8 minutes of flight time sounds nice to me.

Hi all,

Someone correct me if my logic sounds wrong here...

These batteries are supposed to be 6000mAH batteries. This equates to 6 Amps for an hour discharge.
Because we are discharging the battery in a 30 minute flight we would double that amperage to 12 Amps for 30 minute discharge.
We are probably looking closer to 13 Amps average considering the battery isn't fully discharged at end of flight.

These new batteries are rated at 10C or 10Amps continuous current but we are pulling 13 Amps.
Shouldn't these batteries be rated at 20C at least to avoid underpower and undervoltage cutout situations?
What rating are the genuine DJI batteries?
Has anyone measured the actual current draw of a flying Phantom 2?

Cheers and raindeers,
TuT

It's easy to slap a label on a battery. Way too many scammers out there.

I'm waiting for Limefuel to come out with the 6000mha batteries. I've heard they have poor customer support but I've used other limefuel products and they work well. At least they have a brand name to protect so they are less likely to scam people.

Interested in this as well. I'm subscribing to this thread and will await any more info.

A 10C rating means it is rated for a continuous current load equal to 10 times the capacity. So for a 6 Amp-hour pack that would be 60 amps. 10x6.

where is 5 - 8 minutes coming from the extra 800mah?? there are 6 and a half 800 mah in a stock battery so it should be giving 32.5 minutes to 52 minutes standard based on 5 - 8 minutes for 800mah and there is no way it does that, more like just over half that so I would expect another 800mah to give 3 - 5 minutes tops on a good day.

Thanks for clearing that up SilentAV8R

Omg, phantoms fall from aftermarket and original batteries. I use 6000 mAh Onbo batteries no problem, 5 cycles on each of them so far, longer flight times, no problems.

un hombre - Been 7 months since this last post....still good with the OnBo?
DJI just sent me a form letter saying I must be abusing my batteries because I'm only getting 60-70 cycles before they start doing the autoland thing. DJI says 300 cycles should be no problem....I'm on my fifth DJI battery and never gotten over 80 to date, so I'm looking for a new battery source.
