5.8g V 2.4g clover leaf antenna

Hi
I have a 2.4g FPV set up on my FC40 and am having difficulty sourcing a pair of RP clover leaf antenna. May be a dumb question but.... can I use a pair of 5.8g antenna instead or will they just not work effectively ?

They will work... But will not be great. Being double the wavelength, they will have reasonable SWR, but the Cloverleaf does not work as designed at incorrect wavelengths, so the coverage pattern will be very patchy.

There are plenty of suppliers of 2.4GHz cloverleafs, as it is not that uncommon.
