4K controller doesn't have USB slot

So I really wanna be able to connect my devices to my controller however I have the phantom 3 4K and it doesn't have a USB slot on back of controller... any solutions?

That's unfortunate. When it's connected to the controller does the controller charge the device as well? Cause that's problem I keep running into is my device battery gets drained and dies

There is a charger for controller and battery. You will have on for phone/tablet

People have reported that some Phantom models do that for certain mobile devices. Since that's not an option for you, perhaps an external power bank like this one would be helpful.
