4K Camera teardown ...

Highly doubt there's any difference ... it'd be all in the processing/gimbal unit.

Even if it is, that's still 125Mb/s ... which is plenty to accommodate the 60mbs 4K or 40Mbs HD recording.

It does blow a bit for photos tho, hence the lag time in it saving a photo to the card.

Am I missing something here? The A9 uses SDXC which isn't locked to 12.5MB/s.

Extensive testing by multiple people using a variety of cards ranging from the included stock card (mine tested at 25MB/s sequential write) up to SanDisk Extreme Pro (90MB/s sequential write) have all measured a maximum sequential write speed of the P3P at 11.5MB/s when taking rapid fire and 5AEB photos (140MB J+R). The testing is documented on a few threads here and the one I linked to at DJI.

The Ambarella A9 SOC is capable of at least SD bus "High Speed" (25MB/s), so the general conclusion is that DJI either has a bug in their firmware or they intentionally have the SD bus locked down to "Normal Speed" (12.5MB/s). AFAIK DJI has never confirmed this bug/feature which really only affects photographers forced to wait 20-30 seconds with the camera locked up writing data to the SD card. 12.5MB/s is plenty fast enough for 4k/UHD (60Mbps/7.5MB/s)

HD and 4K cameras are exactly the same.

Difference between Pro and Adv control board is DSP processor, its NAND storage, RAM and few small ICs and resistors.

Pro and Adv drones are exactly the same too. You can nonvert Pro drone to Adv and Adv to Pro only by changing
gimbal control boards and flashing firmware.

As Pro control board overheat after a hour without proper airflow around and NAND goes bad (no video feed), we now
try to convert Pro board to Advanced by disabling DSP processor. We have many Pro control boards with corrupted NAND
for experiments.

You get plenty of airflow flying... want are people doing to kill them? Using the SIM? The OFDM board gets VERY hot also.

You cannot fly and flash firmware at same time.

Or fly and use simulator.

Flashing firmware can take up to 60 minutes and much longer if you want to flash
several versions, for example 1.07 to 1.11 (4 versions).

Week ago, when flashing from 1.04 to 1.11 two Pro control boards died.

Thats why we are trying to convert Pro board to Adv to fix them, as corrupted NAND
for DSP processor is not used on Adv version (IC is not there). There are plenty
Pro control boards with no video feed on Ebay (corrupted NAND).

There should be warning that Pro version cannot be powered on the ground
for more than 30 minutes, or gimbal control board is fried.

Just run a fan aimed at the gimble- problem solved.... that’s what I do when updating firmware.
