3 4k vs 3 professional remotes

Hi - I loaned a friend my Phantom 3 4k - which he smashed. He's replaced it with a used Phantom 3 Professional. However this one's remote won't charge at all. Can I use my Phantom 3 4k remote with the Professional drone? Any differences - I guess no lightbridge/range?

P3 4K is WiFi and the Pro is not so that wouldn’t work anyway.

I would loan my drone to my son only, he is an experienced pilot (and he bought me the drone). Not selfish, but this thing is just too darn hard to replace.

Firstly, I wouldn’t call him a friend! Bad enough he smashed your property, but to not replace it with a suitable replacement is truly criminal. Not much of a friend.....!
