1080 on a iPad mini2 ?

I gave my brother a P3A today and he is loving the thing. He is using a iPad mini2 and it is working fine. We loaded his first video onto the iPad using the Apple card reader and things loaded into photos. When he tried to play the video it gave a warning that format not supported. Recorded in 1080/60 fpv in MOV format. Loaded the same video in to my mini4 and it plays fine. I thought the mini2 supported 1080. Any ideas why he is having this problem? Thanks.

I believe it's only 720p. I have the same iPad mini 2.

Try installing AVPlayer HD to run those videos. Main problem is bit rate that iPad mini 2 is limited to.

Would changing the fps to 30 make a difference? Does this reduce the bitrate? Thanks.
