1.3 GHz FPV - which Ham License?

I'm about to move to 1.3 GHz for my FPV - looking at a 1000mW Tx (I need to punch through trees and the 5.8 GHz set up is just not going to do that).

My question is: is the Technician License enough for that? I would I need the General License? Thanks!

Tech license gives privileges on all ham bands above 30 MHz

Note that there are no Ham band privileges above 1.3 GHz until you hit the 2.3GHz band (1.3 GHz to 2.3 GHz)
