stylus for litchi" "stylus selection

I just started to use Litchi with my ipad mini 4 but I'm having difficulty in finger selection. e.g. if I want to select the drawing tool or batch tool, I Invariably manage to select a new waypoint instead which I then have to delete. Am I alone with this problem? Can anyone using a Bamboo...
