gimbal start position

Ok so I have installed a new camera (used from parts bin) and when it starts up, the gimbal yaws left and you can hear it wanting to go further. So I took it a part and the gimbal actually swings about another 20 degrees to the left. Once in this position, it tracks fine, movements are smooth...
