battery problem

Hi guys, my CrystalSky 5.5 won't switch on, the battery has four lights lit but when I meter between the pins there's no voltage present. Does the battery sense being attached before it delivers power? Could someone meter their battery and let me know what you find. Hopefully it's just a...
