    Phantom 3 shaking problem

I paid $120. My reasoning was that I knew one of my gimbal motors was bad, but I wasn't exactly sure which one. Each motor alone is between 30 - 40 plus shipping. So I figured for $120 I can pick up a used gimbal/camera and even if it is broken I hoped to salvage the motors from it. I got lucky...

    Phantom 3 shaking problem

I purchased a used gimbal/camera from eBay and replaced mine. It is back to normal and works great. Would still like to find our what gimbal motor is causing this issue so I can fix my original one.

    Phantom 3 shaking problem

Could you clarify which motor you mean by "vertical"? Is it Yaw, Roll, or Pitch motor they replaced? Thanks. YRP-Motors by ykamenet posted Jun 11, 2017 at 9:26 AM

WTB - Yaw motor for Phantom 3 Std/Pr/Adv

@drz1972ss Thanks for the offer, I think my pitch motor is ok though. I need yaw (top motor in the gimbal) and maybe roll motor (the one on the back).

    Gimbal shake

At this point I disassembled and reassembled gimball/camera several times and checked for everything. Everything looks like new with not a scratch on it. Cable is perfect, all gimbal motors appear fine, nothing is bent. I checked the camera alignment and it is perfect as well. Yaw screw is nice...

    Buying Used P3S, First Drone

I would absolutely record a video and then view it on the computer to verify if there is any wobble/shaking in the video. From my experience (now that I crashed mine once and bought another used drone to fix for parts) the biggest issue after the crash would be gimbal. Everything can look...

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

That's incorrect. As I mentioned, it flies just fine without gimbal and camera. You can remove the whole gimbal and it will still fly. You just can't connect the app or get FPV and telemetry data of course. Remote control should still work.

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

They should start. Since camera is disconnected, you won't have wifi connection and won't be able to connect via the app. The light on the remote will probably be red. However, you should still be able to get GPS lock and start the motors using boths sticks down-in or down-out. You should be...

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

Wifi antennas connect to the gimbal main board and looking at your picture the base is still attached to the drone. If the two wires (black and grey) are still attached to the base of the gimbal then wifi should be ok as long as there is no damage that you can see visually. I think you only need...

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

The cable is definitely broken. The roll arm separated from the rest of the gimbal so the cable was ripped. It will need to be replaced.

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

Mine was as well. For me tinkering with it is part of fun (kinda like grown man's Legos :-)) so I can probably take it apart and put it back together now with my eyes closed. The hard part is when there is absolutely no visible damage and it is still mis-behaving a bit. That's when it gets a bit...

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

It's hard to tell from the two pictures, but at a minimum you will need a new roll arm (~$15) and a new flat cable (~$25) here is one example. Since it comes out to about $40 already I would probably order the whole Fstop kit from Amazon for $42 shipped which includes yaw arm and alignment tool...

Gimble crashed. What is the best way to fix?

Sorry to hear about this. The gimbal on this thing is very fragile and unfortunately the most expensive part of the drone. I had a minor crash on mine which seems to only rip the connection cables (wifi antennas) out but since then no matter how many times I took the gimbal apart, checked...
