Yeah, I've seen the mods, just not sure I want to start soldering stuff inside as I know nothing about electronics and in general find I typically have bad luck with DIY projects (perfectionist, I guess).

Have no regrets, but will be upgrading to the + for GroundStation, adjustable gimbal, flight time, etc. I agree that the 40 is a great intro quad and it served that purpose for me...just looking for a few more features now. I may wait and see what the inevitable Phantom 3 holds though...

Anyone have any photos of their V+ flipped on it's back? Trying to see how much space is between the gimbal/camera mount and the edge of the battery bay for possible GPS tracker attachment. Obviously I haven't bought my bird yet, but I'm thinking ahead. Every time I read about a flyaway I grind...

Yikes! I think a carbon fiber gear wouldn't add much weight, but would obviously need to be careful about the gimbal/camera when flying.

Anyone making a retractable gear for the Phantom line yet?

That answers my question, thanks! DJI's website would lead one to believe that they might be different since they list gear specific to model. Would be cool to have some sort of quick detach, hand screwed gear that could be quickly switched out.

Thanks, robinb. Just to clarify- is the out of the box LG the same height on the Vision and the + or does the + come with taller gear? I guess that's the simplest answer I need! Thanks again.

Hi everyone- I'm considering upgrading from the FC40 and have a couple of basic questions- first, are the landing gear on the Vision and Vision+ the same height out of the box? Two- if they are, do you guys recommend moving to the taller LG? And finally, does anyone make a good hard case that...

This auction is for the Phantom 2 dampers which don't fit the FC40 camera mount- they are too big. I don't know where you can currently get the FC40 dampers yet, still looking- even DJI doesn't currently sell them direct (I asked).

Are you sure these are for the FC40? The FC40 dampers are quite a bit smaller than the Phantom 2 dampers...I made the mistake of ordering from eBay without checkering this and got Phantom 2 dampers that won't fit.. Couldn't find any specific for the FC40 anywhere- eBay, Amazon, etc., even DJI...
