Get rid of the USB ribbon cable!

Here is a much better option: http://www.goodluckbuy.com/dji-h3-3d-3-axis-gimbal-upgrade-back-insert-av-output-part.html

    Foxtech super-mini 200mW 5.8GHz VTX

I ordered this because of the very low weight, a tiny fraction of my existing Boscam 500mW VTX which has a huge heatsink plus a fan. I am not too concerned with VTX power and range for my spare phantom, however this new VTX has a strange problem. At about 100m away, my Boscam Diversity LCD...

What is the best FPV system?

I get over 1000 meters clear video with the Storm Deluxe kit, 500mW VTX. I have just purchased the SkyZone goggles which I prefer over the FatShark. I place the screen on a tripod next to me and can change back and firth between the screen, goggles and line of site. I must say that the goggles...

    Storm All-in-One FPV Combo (Deluxe)?

I bought the Storm all-in-one Deluxe on the recommendation of a friend and have been VERY happy with it. You can use some simple connectors to unplug everything on your phantom to fly without camera. Just use self-adhesive Velcro for the transmitter. If you can do some very simple soldering...

Unexplained Yaw Drift in GPS Mode

If the Center Of Gravity is way off, then the Phantom tends to drift badly around a yaw. Also ensure you yaw hard in hover mode, with GPS ATTI enabled, which helps to re-center it the moment you ease off the yaw.

New Guy - need help with tipping over

If you loose motor screws, never fly with only two adjacent screws. If you are forced to fly with only two screws holding a motor in place, move one to the diagonal, opposite the other one, and make sure both are TIGHT! Regarding your Phantom tilting on launch... Make sure you wait at LEAST...

    Phantom tips over at start

As you add weight to your Phantom, you need to increase the attitude gains to compensate for the extra inertia. Mine are at 250% and flying perfectly with gimbal, gopro, VTX, iOSD, propguards, LED striplights, LED headlight, Low battery Audio alarm, and a few extras. Even if you fail to do...

    Does BTU work on P2?

The sheer lack of support from DJI is staggering in its absence... Surely some of their engineers can sign on with private identities and help solve some of the problems, answer some of the questions, or at least add them to their website FAQ's. This is not a cheap kiddies toy we are playing...

    Center of Gravity

Just punch it off the ground... don't try to lift off too slowly. If your left-stick is self-centering, then once you have started the motors, apply just a touch of up-throttle, wait for the revs to pick up, then punch the throttle for a moment to clear the ground, then immediately throttle back...

    Does BTU work on P2?

Bump. I have exactly the same setup and same problems. Why is no-one from DJI participating in these forums? Emailing them is also useless.

    BTU

Phantom 2 upgraded to firmware V3.0 Bought a BTU module today (Not the Data Link) Latest version of iPhone NM Assistant. Latest version of IOS Ground Station. Ground-station does not detect the BTU. NM Assistant on iPhone and/or iPad detects the BTU, accepts my username and password, but...

    Proposed new flight modes

Wow! I really thought this idea would spark some serious interest and discussion. I guess no-one is interested? Though I already have FPV installed, I can see the desire for these features for those without. Even with FPV, it would be useful.

Taking the Curve out of a photo

I use the free GML Undistorter. It can batch-process an entire directory of images and save the results in a sub-folder. Get it here: http://graphics.cs.msu.su/en/node/898 Enjoy!

    Carbon Props?

No matter how soft or flexible a prop is, once it spins up, it becomes rock-solid rigid from the centrifugal force, so the rumours of it behaving different to the flexible stock props are crap. However, you may want to adjust your gains if the props have a different airfoil and/or active chord...
