One thing to note is that the manual suggests using CSC as one way to shut down your motors after landing. From my own experience, and others that I've seen on this forum, it's far better to hold the left stick only down for three seconds to stop the motors, as using CSC after landing seems to...
Autoflight Logic's Autopilot will also allow you to import kmz/kml files to use as waypoint missions. Just got the app so I haven't had time to test it out yet, but AL said they added the capability to make the app to make it more usable for SAR groups. Autopilot is only for IOS right now, and...
Yeah, someone else always tells me that. She's my...um...that thing...you know...you live with them? Don't tell me, I'll remember it...Dog? No, she doesn't nag me. Well, I'll remember it sooner or later...
Yes, I've seen that video. It IS cool, but it's not mine. My P3 came down in dense bush (which kept it from being smashed to bits and saved the camera and gimbal), and the SD card popped out. Tried to find it, but couldn't. Just have the pictures in my head, now.
I had the same choice to make a few months ago, when my P3A was brought down by a hawk. Everything survived the crash, but when I tried to start the motors I got the "ESC error". Replace the entire MC was the only choice at that time too. I decided it was better value for me to replace the...
Hi James;
The text file that I included in my post is the file from the hidden folder and shows that the update failed at module 01 00 (the camera module). The overall update failed, and the red gimbal light came on with a steady solid tone. But the odd thing is that everything connects, starts...
It's the first time the "S" designation has been used for the actual zip folder name. The .bin file has always used the "S" or "X" designation. It confused me at first, too.
Hi all. Having an unusual problem with the new f/w upgrade. At least I haven't come across anyone having the same issue here or on DJI's forum after checking all the update threads.
I have a P3A which was on the latest f/w version before 1.5. Downloaded the update from DJI site, extracted the...
Lots of cool stuff here! Love the idea of using a glove to control the quad (LOS only, though!). But flying four quads with one tablet?! I have enough problems keeping track of ONE!;)
Just a heads up that there IS an IOS update for the GO app...from 2.1 to 2.2. I couldn't find the 2.7k camera settings until I did the update. Now everything's there. Time to fly!:D
No, it's not. I bought a new shell, and although they include new landing struts and a screw package, the cage is not part of the deal. Mine wasn't damaged in my crash, so I just transferred it over. It IS odd that you can't get this particular part separately.
Back in late July when the site first came on-line they were selling P3's for less than the listed price. The thread is here:
Jet.com Launched Today. Lower Price Than I Paid. | DJI Phantom Forum
But it seems like they just hold the price down long enough to get a few people hooked and raving...
Must...escape...pull...of...irrefutable...logic! Alright, you've got me. The last AIO I bought was a stereo back in 1980. That was a disaster. Let's just hope that by the time P4 arrives my humble ipad mini 2 will still be able to run DJI's GO app. (whadda ya mean my ipad won't run IOS 40.6.2?!)
I totally agree. That's the Apple philosophy. However, there is no doubt that when you turn on an Apple product, it will work every time, exactly as advertised. There are many current P3 owners who cannot make the same claim. I'm not an Apple fanatic (my first and only purchase was an Ipad 2...
