There are also things you can do to a battery to dramatically shorten its life. Hard to say how many are from poor use, or a faulty battery.

Ya, from what I've read as well, electricity storage technology looks to be on the cusp of some major leaps forward. Even an increase of 4 times more extended battery life would change everything from cars to home energy. And of course the Phantom. :)
