I had the exact same problem with my iPhone 4S running ios 6 using the dji app with Ground Station (prior app version before GS worked flawlessly). Found that I needed to free up lots of RAM by closing all apps other than the dji app and reduce the preview quality to 320x240 15 fps and put the...
I had the same problem with my iPhone 4s. I had to free up 5 GB of space and put the phone in airplane mode and sometimes the FPV will work for a whole battery. I then bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 for use only with my 2+ (only thing installed is the dji app and a booster app - nothing else...
I found what I hope to be a fix. It has worked for the 2 batteries and 40 minutes that I flew today. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 which worked flawlessly today. I even upped the resolution of the app to the highest (640x480 30fps I think). Think the new GS app used too much resources on...
You can also cache a map in google maps. Just launch google maps when you have wifi or 4g find the area that your are going to fly in then type 'ok maps' in the search field (without the 's). This will copy this map to your google map cache. The dji app uses google maps then will load this...
Yes, I've lost FPV. I lost it when I started using the new app with GS functions. Found that I can sometimes get FPV if I swipe into the GS section of the app then swipe back to the FPV section - this sometimes allows FPV to work for a whole flight, sometimes only a few minutes. If I don't...
As xgeek said you only need two programs: RC assistant (RC) and Phantom assistant (PT2) - not really sure why RC is needed since it is for TX calibration and you can calibrate the TX in the PT2 software (some people say you have to calibrate the TX using both software programs - not sure why)...
Well the good news is I have stable flight, the bad news is it has to be in Phantom mode. Naza M mode will not advance calibrate - burned though 4 battery charges just connected to the computer trying to calibrate and wasted the entire day.
I just took it to a large open field to test it out. Calibrated the compass after startup. Waited until I got GPS home position lock (11 sat). Launched to about a 7-8 foot hoover. Was not holding position well - would make about a 6 foot circle. Then I turned the P2V+ 180 degrees and she...
I just upgraded to 3.04. Assistant 3.0 software tells me I must advance calibrate my IMU. Basic calibration and check IMU are grayed out so cannot click on them. I see the other post about not getting IMU to advance calibrate so I followed suggestions from that thread. I burned through 2...
Do yourself a major favor.....buy a simulator. I bought Aerofly RC7 which has a dji Phantom model. I crashed several times on the simulator before I got the hang of manual flying. The real quad flys much easier. Step through all of the training that dji suggests on the simulator and you will...
