Bad advice. The monitor gives no depth perception and the camera is only good for the 94 degrees the lens sees. Everything else in not visible.
There's a reason the regulations stipulate VLOS flight only.
The cool kids don't use prop guards because nothing EVER goes wrong with them at the stick. :p
I use them for the visibility and I occasionally get too close to things.
It amazes me the number of people on this forum that thumb their noses at the very basic flying rules we are supposed to adhere to when flying our Phantoms. It's a pretty small percentage, but it is enough to be alarming. Here's an example...When your bird is out of VLOS...like a mile or more...
Use a fillet knife to make some room. I bought a backpack case from HobbyPartz that is closed cell foam and sized generically for DJI drones. 10 minutes with a fillet knife and all my stuff fits very nicely. It's not that difficult.
For a $550 hit to replace/repair the gimbal; and camera, just buy a new P3S and use the old one for parts.
