Advice on building a new editing PC?

That's silly. The original poster wants to edit with 4K output. I would imagine it is important to be able to see the output in the target resolution. You have a nice machine, my windows 7 machine is close to that in memory, although it, too, is a quad core. Both my main desktops can edit 4K...

Advice on building a new editing PC?

It is one thing to have a computer that will edit in 4K, but you also need a monitor that can show 4K. My system is a 64 bit, 16 GB RAM, AMD Quad Core with a GEForce GTS 450 video card, but my monitor is only 720p. I run Linux and can process the video in 4K, but I can't see the 4K results. My...

Landing on high-rise buildings to capture videos from there to save battery

It is possible you will lose your signal and not be able to take off again due to the distance and the metal that may be in the building. Also, you would need to land near the ledge so you can see what is below. Also, after you land and cut the engine, your new home point will be the location...

What do you use to view panoramas from Litchi on PC?

Facebook now has the ability to stitch panoramas just by uploading the files. If you can't navigate the panorama after it has been stitched, it probably means you need to update your browser.

Litchi & P3P: Jerky yaw motions

Try reducing the percentage of curvature of the yaw angle. I have noticed Litchi seems "looser on the yaw" than DJI software, too. I'm still experimenting with it.

Drone Police - they're getting deployed

The LEO card has been online for a few weeks, at least. Our local law enforcement in Illinois have been going to seminars specifically related to drone technology, mostly because Illinois has passed laws regulating how law enforcement are allowed (and not allowed) to use drones. When I see the...

    Altitude for fireworks

You don't necessarily have to be higher than the fireworks unless you plan to aim the camera straight at the ground. Where you need to be is positioned so that you have a good background and you are not over the crowd.

    Flying restrictions

I flew at the local fireworks display by first asking security for permission. I wasn't breaking any laws at that time, just as flying over an empty stadium is not breaking a law (unless, of course, there is a local law against it). It may not work to ask for permission, but if it does, asking...

    Flying restrictions

Ask the security personnel at the stadium if you can have permission. It likely won't be a problem.

    Why is metal around dangerous?

Absorption also works in antennas. Any metal grounded to Earth acts as an antenna. And you are correct, reflection also occurs. The point is that radio waves don't always work well when there is metal close by, unless the metal is intended to be the receiver.

Daylight only operations as per FAA- no more night flights

It hasn't passed, yet, apparently. There is nothing in the current guidance by the FAA that bans night flying that I could find. Hopefully, this is still in the "Public Comment" stage and we can tell the FAA why we should be allowed to fly at night. There are so many photographic...
