I just had a warranty repair - I did have to update before they'd let me send it in, but there was no problem running the system with an old set of firmwares that worked well for me. If anything, the problem coming up with no firmware changes made it more clearly a hardware problem.

Low level to high level pan outs are always good - try flying sideways as well, showing the speed of the leader, then fly back and up to get in the whole pack. Make sure there are no other drones at the event - it's easy to lose which one is yours while looking back and forth from FPV.

Just bought another P3P for $838. My old P2V+ wasn't cutting it! At least one should be working going forward...

When it only goes 5mph into the wind, I'll bring it back down. Hand catching is essential for high wind days. If I need video, I look for 15mph days or less.

Finally got an RMA, going to send it in.

I just wish they had a better diagnostics program - I just want to plug it in and find out whats wrong, rather than all this guesswork. I'm almost ready to buy another just to have one that works.

I'm going round and round with DJI now - 90% convinced it's hardware, but they keep finding new hoops for me to jump through. Trying to downgrade the controller firmware now.

Nope, worked a couple of times, now back to black screen.

It's now day to day - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Have swapped cords, cards, etc, doesn't make a difference when it's not working. Pretty sure that means it's a hardware problem - I installed the newest firmware when I got the P3P last fall, and have not updated since, nor have I...

I've looked around and found several have had the same issue, looks like it's hardware related since it happened to me out of the blue. No crashes, rough handling, worked fine yesterday, didn't do a thing but charge the battery over the last hundred flights. Everything works, drone will fly...

100% Hand Catch. Only been nervous once, in 20+ knot gusty winds, but I just watched it until I was pretty sure I could grab it safely.
