I'm asking myself the same question Whitelens and got to your post. The Fact is this: DJI releases P2V for consumer quality aerial pictures right out of the box. Then fit a camera with additional video rec feature. I added the Dronexpert gimbal for converting it in a pro-sumer aerial platform. I...
The hot melt glue also worked for me. Tip: 1- Power up your Phantom and let gimbal starts. 2- Look by the front of camera and move the white back plug slightly until you see it's horizontal leveled. 3- Once you get the desired level, turn off your phantom and with a pencil, trace horizontal and...
Also. Oukenfold. Follow the instructional video from Dronexpert website to install the 7th channel. There is a flat cable that most be free of movement.
Oukenfold:
What cable is this loose out there? and did you set the values on assistance software, calibrated the compass, wait some seconds after powering the phantom on to let the gimbal motors start. Pushed the camera jack on board?
http://youtu.be/s5k0PFX2e0g. My conclusion is to definitely attach a filter for filming in bright days. This footage is raw video with no stabilization. Some minor jello at some point is almost imperceptible. No lens filter added yet.
Sorry for the issue. I also will be shooting aerials this week. I hope to get the filters and filter holder and attach them with rubber bands as suggested by White
Hi Dastaag. I removed the side pads because I got the camera cleared from the holders so no reason to have them on. But if this is not your case you should keep them. Did you re calibrate the phantom after adding the filter holder??
I'm also balancing props. It's very tricky but doable.
I'm...
Dastagg. I've been trying out to solve the jello and here are some things that worked for me:
1-The four pads need to be fitting the out cuts and rest with no room for slipping. Confirm that they are in place prior to take off.
2-Re check if the 4 plastic screws that fix the camera downward are...
You are welcome Mal. I think things are getting better with solutions for the P2V camera. Until now, I considered support, test videos from other users, full integration with the app and the added 7 channel feature as points in advantage for Dronexpert. Gimbal.
Mal. Do you think this video has bad quality?

There are a lot more good videos like this. Sorry but I don't agree with you.
I Got the same problem when recording video at 30fps. Just change the recording settings at 60fps 720p or 1080i/60. I think in bright days the shutter speed increases the speed to compensate the amount of light resulting in those annoying flashes. Also the jello effect is perceptible at 30fps...
do you not see jello in your video? that video has more jello than my stock vision with no gimbal..come on now.
Also the flicker can be confused with jello. the flicker is visible at straight lines as the Tennis net, court lines and trees.
But thanks. I should have applied a flicker filter

Tizz. Maybe you are confusing jello with the bumps produced by the 30fps conversions Vimeo and Youtube performed to upload.
The raw video has no jello at 60fps.
Hello Mal. The Jello Problem is not directly issued to the gimbal itself. If you follow the replays, you will note that is a setting thing in the camera. I have got very steady videos recording with the Dronexpert Gimbal. Just watch: http://vimeo.com/87370645.
And The guys at Dronexpert have...
