    First night time photo

The P4P is great for night photos.

Friend stuck his fingers in the rotating propeller of his Phantom 4

Your friend was lucky. I screwed up and grabbed my hexacopter while it was on the ground with motors running low speed and sliced my forearm pretty well. But those were carbon props, so YMMV.

    HDR Today

Yeah, HDR, but it's still nice. Especially for a just-goofing-around picture. Nicely done.

Looking for high end landscape photographers using the P4P.

I have gotten some great pictures with the P4P. I'm a Fine Art Landscape Guy Wannabe. Normally shoot with a GFX 50S. The P4P is excellent for those unique or otherwise impossible shots. Just pay attention to your settings.

    I need your Opinion !

Excellent work. You have a photographer's eye for landscapes and translated it well to drones. Well done!

What were you like when you first flew?

Yes. I put my crude & crazy machines away after a while (I was tired of subsidising Hobby King). Then I saw a video of somebody doing something awesome with a Phantom. Smooth, steady, cinematic. The romance was rekindled. Now I fly a P4P and it is a thing of beauty.

What were you like when you first flew?

My first flight was a DIY tricopter running a Hobby King board. Of course I crashed the thing. Multiple times. I finally got to the point where I could keep it in the air, but it was crazy. This was running a very simple board. You had to totally control the thing. I eventually switched to...

Has anyone here NOT crashed a drone?

I have crashed various tricopters and a hex, several times. But those were all DIY, ardupilot based, and required A LOT more skill to fly than the friendly Phantom 4 Pro. This aircraft is so polished and easy to fly that it takes some effort to crash it. It can be done, obviously, but I have...

Phantom 4 Pro high wind velocity

Keep in mind that wind speed increases with altitude. So even if you feel no wind at ground level, up in the air the machine might be dealing with a substantial breeze, hence the popup warning. I get it every flight now, regardless of wind conditions. Methinks DJI needs to tweak the algorithm...

    Monsoon haboob over Round Top

Had the Flying Thing up for some sunset pictures, just when I was wrapping up a dust storm arrived from the South. Got the picture just before the winds hit. Was a little pucker-inducing bringing the P4P down from 90 meters with the crazy winds, but all ended well.

    Who uses a GPS tracker?

GPS trackers might also have an issue if the flying thing drops into a canyon. In AZ once you get into the canyons you lose cell phone coverage quite quickly. Something to consider.

Has the Phantom 4 Pro been hacked?

Actually, there is a connection. The images are geocoded. But the hackers would still have to be able to read the SD card in any case.

HDR workflow on the P4 Pro

Yes, I noticed that. I'm still getting used to the camera and am planning on testing it when the sunsets start getting interesting around here. I'll see what 0.7 gets me, and possibly adjust in Lightroom if I have to. But that sounds a bit too much of a workflow. I may do like you and...

HDR workflow on the P4 Pro

Radioactive Cat Vomit, LOL. Slide that HDR Structure slider all the way to the max! An alternative to Photomatix for the OSX users is Aurora HDR by Macphun. That's what I'm using. I shoot AEB on the flying thing, suck it into Lightroom for initial correction and cropping, then export to...

    So far mine seems solid.
