P2 DJ6 Transmitter bricked after failed firmware upgrade

HI, Just tried to upgrade my old DJ6 transmitter and the upgrade failed, now leaving it in a state that it won't even power up. I noticed there is a button on a PCB inside of it. Anyone know if there's a hard reset with some sort of button/power-up combo? Thanks.

Quick and Easy strobe Headlight for the Vision/Phantom

Please post an update when you try this in bright sunlight. I'm also looking for a good P2* solution for this vs. fiddling with right/left/yaw/right/left/yaw stuff to figure out what the heck the orientation is from a distance :) I have a P1 with that nifty 24LED unit and would love to find...

    Failsafe or manual? flyaway

I have mine S1 set to GPS/ATTI/Failsafe. If I can see it still and something *bad* happens where I need to get it home, I use ATTI as this disables the GPS. If it were to go out of sight, I would then use failsafe and pray that it's GPS lock is still good and comes home. Fortunately, I...

Travel with battery in P2 while in case?

The GoProfessional case for my P2 has a cutout which permits having a battery installed in the P2 while in the case. I tend to pack it without a battery installed. What are others doing here? Any real risk to having a battery installed while in the case? Thanks for any thoughts.

Anybody having problems with e-clips coming off in flight?

Re: Anybody having problems with e-clips coming off in fligh That is definitely an issue. Almost 100% of my usage has been way off the beaten path, 4x4 stuff on bumpy roads/trails. Never had an issue with a clip popping out from driving around with it in a case. I'm still using stock clips...

    How many batteries is enough?

I keep a Duracell Powerpack 600 with me that is charged (very slllllooooowwwwlllly) via a solar panel on my truck cap. It's rated for 26amp hours (cough, hack): http://www.duracellpower.com/documents/ ... RPP600.pdf I've not seen how well it will charge a P2 battery yet but may try it out...

    Phantom 2 first impressions

I have been flying a Phantom 1.1 since late last summer and it has been wonderful (always wanted an RC craft as a kid but couldn't afford it- I did model rocketry instead- also expensive but maybe more controllable at the time). Yet, as I was shooting video on it with my GoPro Hero3+ (of which...

    Smooth pan and tilt achieved!

Nice! I would love to do something similar. Would you happen to have part numbers for the items you installed?

    How many batteries is enough?

15 and five chargers for my Phantom 1s 5 and 3 chargers for my Phantom 2 (just got it in today... yesssssss). Will need more of these, just so pricey. I carry a lot since I burn thru them on multi-day camping excursions and inverters and similar Duracell packs are already assigned to keeping...

    Joshua Tree

Very cool! With all of the activity there this time of year, did you get any inquiries/complaints from others nearby? I tend to fly where no one is around and get nervous when I see the gleam of vehicle headlights two miles away!

Why did my Phantom crash in the water?!?!

Interesting you are using the Phantom 1 on this. This morning, I was flying out some batteries on a P1 that had been charged up last week, just to get them back down to storage levels and I had something similar happen. With two batteries (out of 7 that I was working with), upon a throttle...

    Taking still images with GoPro?

About as close as you can get, assuming you are using a Hero3 or Hero3+ is to use the simultaneous video/photo mode and set it to a small interval (I think 5 sec might be the shortest interval if I recall correctly). Using this mode however takes a snapshot of a video frame and not a real still...
