I've flown with this case twice and haven't had any issues.
Once with Southwest and once overseas. On SWA I carried it and had batteries in my backpack, no LIPO bags. I have recently picked a few up though.
I like flying with my pixel XL the best since I like to screen record a lot but lately the Nvidia Shield k1 is my tablet of choice. I tried to go the cheap route but couldn't make it work. I unboxed both on a video.
I have the Glyph and you can focus each eye separately. No readers needed if you wear them to see your phone or tablet. It puts a 55" TV right in front of your face to give you a little perspective. Its micro HDMI input and comes with a cable. I use it with the Nvdia Shield.

I tried to force the Asus zenpad 8 to work since it was only $129 but ended up returning it and keeping the Nvidia shield. Happy with it as I prefer Android over iOS. I do fly with an iPhone time to time though.
